Good Afternoon everyone!!!

What a beautiful day in our toddler room we are having!

Miss Chloe got here before everyone to prepare everything and set up our yard for our toddlers to enjoy. Miss Karla meet Miss Chloe in the front yard at 7:50 and there we waited for everyone to arrived at kindy.

Our little friend Jax was the first one arriving this morning followed by Ashton and Eden. Then soon Kai and Kento joined us in the front yard and started their play.

Things we love doing outdoors:

  • Hiding around the mushroom house: Ashton, Rider, and Jax were hiding from miss Karla behind the mushroom house waiting for her to find them. Then Eden who was observing his friends came and joined them as they looked having so much fun.
  • Building with the blocks: Jax, Ashton, and Eden did a great job at building big towers with the blocks.
  • Fixing the force with tools: Kai and Ashton loved using tools from our room to fix things around the yard like the force.
  • Obstacle course in the sandpit: Kento, Eden, Jax, Leo and, Ashton did the obstacle course a few times laughing and asking to miss Karla to look at them.

Around 9:30 it was time for us to transition indoors so we gathered all our little friends and made our way to our veranda for morning tea. We sat down in a circle to sing our good morning song, washed our hands with wipes and enjoyed fresh fruit slice with rice crackers. After morning tea our toddlers packed all their plates and drinks away and each of them got a wipe wiping their beautiful faces and hands.

Today we offered indoor/outdoor play, keeping our glass door open for our toddlers to decided either to play inside or outside.

What we loved doing in our room:

  • Hanging clothes on the line: Rocco, Jax and, Kai tried very hard putting the pegs on the line.
  • Reading books: Ashton, Eden, Sofia, Esther and, Kento had some relaxing moment in the veranda reading books.
  • Role-playing in the home corner: We observed Zeliang, Kai, Eden and, Rocco very busy cooking in home corner.
  • Matching numbers: Leo and Ashton together engaged in matching numbers with our flash number cards helping each other to find the same number in the wall.
  • Drawing on boards: Leo, Sofia, Zeliang and, Esther did lots of drawing at the table with texters.
  • Painting for Halloween: We have started making Halloween art and crafts and today we offered painting “spiders on a plate”.

at 11:15 it was time to get ready for lunch so we transitioned to the bathroom to wash our hands and sit down for lunch. We enjoyed crispy organic chicken nibbles with roast veggies and fresh salad bar. Our toddlers loved their lunch today!!

Once they were finishing their packed their plates and drinks away and wiped their faces with an educator’s help. Then they made their way to each of their beds and settle down for their resting time.

When our friends woke up we got ready for our afternoon play, Changing nappies, applying sunscreen, then sitting for an afternoon tea picnic. We had pita crispies with homemade beetroot dip and fresh fruit for afternoon tea.

We then packed everything away and headed to our backyard for a fun afternoon play with our toddler 2 friends.

Thanks, everyone for today!

Miss Karla, miss Chloe.
