Good morning families,
The children began there amazing day when exploring outdoors with the JK children, to extend on our learning of letters and numbers the children were able to freely choose to explore at the table with the magnetic numbers and letters.
Yaolin joined his friends at the table and found the letter Y Yaolin then initiated a conversation with Miss Tash, “Look Miss Tash it’s Y for my name.”
Miss Tash then was asked to come over into the sandpit by Poppy, Poppy and Isla were busy creating, Poppy told Miss Tash she was creating chocolate for Miss Tash and Miss Stacie. Isla mentioned she was added sprinkles to the chocolate, Karina noticed her friends cooking in the sandpit and wanted to explore alongside them.
Karina told her peers she was making soup, while pouring the sand into the large colander.
Lincoln and Livinia were also busy exploring with the sand also, Livinia explained to Miss Tash she was digging a hole so he foot can hide in the sand, Lincoln explained he was helping Livinia to dig the hole.
Keaton arrived and wanted to explore with the builders’ hats, Keaton said “I’m a builder, I can hammer.” Miss Tash then went indoors and provided Keaton with a toy hammer, so he was able to fix the toys.
Keaton went to work straight away and pretended to fix the wheels on the digger.
Quinn and Fletcher were busy on the slides racing each other into the sandpit, Fletcher said “I can go backwards.” Quinn said “Me too” together the children giggled and slid down.
Lena and Chloe arrived at the same time and were excited to begin there day together.
Chloe said, “Lena we have the same hair.”  Lena then held her hair trying to look at it.
Lillianna then arrived, before Lillianna was comfortable to play she shared a cuddle with Miss Tash, after a nice cuddle Lillianna was more than excited to go and tell her friends it was her 3rd birthday today and her mummy was bringing cupcakes.

As the children finished up their morning tea their friend Robert arrived. Robert was excited to start his day and joined Miss Stacie in finding his name bag tag.
Robert then went and joined his friend Quinn and Nicholas at the playdough table. Together the children had discussions about the different faces they could see on the playdough mats. Quinn said “I’m happy” while holding up the happy face.
Nicholas said “Look this one is grumpy.” As he pointed to the angry face.
Miss Stacie then sat with the children for a one on one interaction talking about different emotions and asking the children if they are able to recreate different emotions faces onto the paper.
The children all did an amazing job at focusing and taking their time to individually draw each emotion. These amazing creations are displayed on our wall, this provides the children with a sense of pride in their achievements and encourages conversations between the children and educators about their amazing work and emotions.Ray enjoyed playing at the table with the green magnetic sand, Ziah then joined him and together they started to rub the sand in between their hands Ziah told Miss Stacie “It’s so crumbly.”
