Our Story-

We started the morning in the back yard for the children to explore their outdoor environment.

We enjoyed exploring:

  • Sandpit
  • Bikes and motor cycles and push mowers
  • Cars and sandcastles
  • Gardens
  • Rocking horses

We had a fun filled morning exploring with our friends from toddlers 1!. Harper, Abigail, Olivia and Costel had lots of fun climbing and exploring the garden and mushroom house.  Benji, Charlie and Emmi liked to dig in the sand and use the trucks and diggers and shovels and spades.

We then transitioned to start our day. We all sat at the door and took our shoes and hats off and made our way inside for group time with Miss Chloe whilst Miss Bianca changed our Nappy’s and prepared our yummy morning tea.   For morning tea our friends enjoyed raisin bread with orange slices and banana.

After morning tea time, it was time for the children to head off to explore the fun activities and environment’s that Miss Chloe and Miss Bianca had set up. This included:

– Self-select toys around the room

– Purple playdough with different coloured patty cases and pipe cleaners to focus on the children’s interest in colours and fine motor.

– Dancing to Sam Smith

-Turtles in water to follow Olivia’s interest.

– Cars and trucks station with tracks, wood, rocks and a car mat.

-Outdoor play (exploring our outdoor environment and working on balance skills)

-Book corner- the children self-select the stories they are most interested in

-Home corner (kitchen utensils)

This morning we had a table filled with purple play dough, multi coloured patty cases, and different coloured pipe cleaners and the playdough even smelt like vanilla. Emmi, Charlie, Weston and Olivia loved flattening the playdough and rolling it into balls and putting it in the patty cases. Benji, Costel, Abigail and Harper loved calling out the colours and bending the pipe cleaners around the playdough and scrunching up the patty cases and putting it in the playdough.

We then all found a large tub of water on the table with little toy sea turtles swimming around in the water, we all had a look and giggled. Costel, Olivia, and Emmi really enjoyed playing with the sea turtles.

Benji and Charlie enjoyed playing with the car station and hiding the sensory lights under the rocks for the cars to drive around. Zariah enjoyed playing with the sensory lights also and found a few musical instruments to play with.

Harper and Abigail enjoyed reading in the book corner and pretending to sleep and patting one another on the back and giving each other lots of cuddles.  We then all made our way outside to have a big run around the yard with the trolley’s and motorbikes.

We then helped pack away the room, we had our nappies changed and washed our hands to prepare for lunch time. It was then time for the children to head into the bathroom in small groups, to wash and dry their hands before getting ready for lunch.  We then found our drink bottles and headed to the table where we waited for Miss Bianca to ask us what we would like on our plate.  Today for lunch we enjoyed Sheppard’s pie with fresh salad and Costel enjoyed a lentil version.

It was now time for us to head to bed and rest our bodies.  We provide an opportunity for the children to re energise their little bodies.  After our rest it was time for our afternoon tea. Today for afternoon tea we enjoyed apple and cinnamon spelt muffins with fruits.

It was then time to explore our environment with our friends from Toddlers two.  We enjoyed a big play outdoors with all our friends from toddlers one before we all headed home to our families.

Thank you for a fun day Toddlers 2!
