Jingeri Pre-Kindy children, Miss Alison, Miss Nicole and Miss An.

Sunny and cloudy morning, before that we going to have the rain the children enjoy the playground as much as they can.

Jax, George were hiding under the fort, Max and Jude were try to find them. They were kind of playing hide and seek and then Pirate role play and then dinosaur. Many different roles and very creative. (CI)

Ashton, Maddison, Dion, Holly and Charlie were practice their Boxing skills with the mat that wrap around the pole. They were pretending to punching and kicking. Maddison said “ Mr Ben said duck when someone try to hit your head”. Good memories. (4.3.7 transfer knowledge from one setting to another.)

Harper, Oliva, Sophie, Emmi, Bobbie and Nidhan were enjoy the big swing and get swing by Mason B and also Mya. They both stand on the left and right side and use their best muscle and strength to push and swing their friends as high as fast as they capable of.

We also enjoy running and chasing around the playground, we jump in and join our friends running, next min, we go on our own play and then sometime we decided to join in again.

To transition the children into the classroom, we have line up nicely, count how many of us in a line and give an an elbow bump to Miss Ali as we walk in to the classroom when we walk in (1.1.2 use effective routines to help make predicted transitions smoothly.) We put our shoes on the shelf, hat on the hat on the hook and wash our hands and enjoy our morning tea. (A)

Bobbie bought in a special book to shared with all her friends. “Kuwi’s Rowdy Crowd”, then we also read “ Danny gentle play” is about playing gently with our friends as well as taking care of our properties. Harper shouted, “we don’t throw toy”, Charlie said “ we packing away after play”, Dion said “we shared toys with our friends.” Well done pre-kindy. (5.2.1 listen and respond to sounds and patterns in speech, stories and rhymes in context.)

To continues support and practice to use our fine and gross motor skill, coordination skill, Miss An and Miss Nicole have organized water play (EI). In 1 of the tub, we have some measurement cups, boat, bowl, squeeze bottle and spoon for the children to trying on tipping and filling the water from one container to another.

In another tub, we have only water and water squeezer, the children have to work it out how to sucks the water up and they can squirted on their friends and the educators. It didn’t take long, the children figure out how to do so and they excitedly to tell their friends the method and having fun with it. (2.1.3 take action to assist other children to participate in social groups.) From far you surely can hear the happy giggle, laughing and also screaming.

In part of this activity, Miss AN and Miss Nicole also wanted to support and allow the children to learn on how their can self-regulate their emotion while waiting and taking turn in play. So each 5min, Miss An or Miss Nicole will ring the bell and it mean switch, the children happy to do so after Miss AN and Miss Nicole explain the rule. (IT) (3.1.9 show an increasing capacity to understand, self-regulate and manage their emotions in ways that reflect the feelings and needs of others.)

Some of our friends do not wish to get wet or playing with water, so Miss An and Miss Nicole were organized some activity such as magic puzzle, Car stacking game and also balancing game for the children.

Right before the lunch time, we get change into dry cloth, we making our own bed with a little helps of the educators. (A)  Fried rice, fish nugget and salad bar– we all enjoyed lunch and ate lots before we had a guided mediation about a unicorn and a princess before a rest time. Some of our friends had a sleep to re charge some had some quiet small world play during on  time.

Thank you for a beautiful and fun day Pre-Kindy. Love from Miss Alison, Miss Nicole and Miss An.
