Jingeri Pre-Kindy and Kindergarten children.
Raining morning, so we stay inside to stay dry and warm with all our friends and educators. We are having morning discos party with Miss Jamie, we enjoy dancing and moving our body., beside that some of us are enjoy sing along with Miss Jamie too, especially the special favourite song, you know which one…. “frozen”. (3.2.2 are happy, healthy, safe and connected to others.)
Painting is a way for children to do many important things: convey ideas, express emotion, use their senses, explore color, explore process and outcomes, and create aesthetically pleasing works and experiences. The children are freely enjoy the painting over the art & craft area, they get to access all sort of the painting resources to make their own master pieces and beautiful art work. We also enjoy helping Miss Jess to do dot painting on the kangaroo, later she will display on Kindergarten classroom.
The children also enjoy at the table with the lose part sorting game, we got the bamboo tongs that we need to learn and practice how we control it with our fine motor skill and coordination skill.
To transitioning the children from play to group time, we help packing away outside and inside then line up at the bathroom and wash our hand, then seat on the mat. (1.1.2 use effective routines to help make predicted transitions smoothly.)
(IT) ARAKAN time with Mr Tim. We enjoy our morning Arakan practice session with Mr Tim, we practice the routine posts, Mr Tim are very proud of the children. Today Mr Tim also teach the children kicking skill. First we stand like a flamingo, testing on our balance, then we rise our knee as high as we can and kick it out. Couple time practice later, we one by one show Mr Tim how we can do it and some of us kick the pad off Mr Tim’s hand. See how strong we are. We end the session with a hide and seek game. (3.2.3 engage in increasingly complex sensory motor skills and movement patterns.)
Now time for washing hand and enjoy our morning tea.
(CI) Time to play. The children enjoy self-select activities, such as Holly, Harper, Olivia, George and Mason B were drawing on the whiteboard. Then Holly’s ask can we drew on the paper roller, and all her friends want to draw on them too. Later Miss An and Miss Nicole saw Charlie move the paper roller near to the wall and try to construct a ball’s tunnel/maze with his friends. (4.1.3 use play to investigate, imagine and explore ideas.)
(EI) To emerge and support the children idea and turn it into reality, Miss An and Miss Nicole help adding the velco on each paper rolls, so the children can move and construct the maze/ tunnel the way they want and they think it work.
Hiroki, Jude, Zahcary and Mason L enjoy to continues their interest on the superhero story. They seat together and reading the story, Zachary try to read the story to his friends. Then they go to the superhero character box, find each other superhero and then they try to react the storyline from the book.
Surprise event. What is that we don’t know, but Miss Kristy told us we got to be at the fence by 11.15am. So when the time come, we get our shoe and hat and walk to the fence. We saw there are 3 big giant Australian animals Sculptor get driven into our kindy car park. The children were so excited, they screaming and have this big smile on their face.
It’s a special and surprise shows, Miss Kristy organized for all the children, thank you Miss Kristy. What a good surprise. Once the car stops, we can come closer to see it in detail and touch it. There are Kookaburra, Cockatoo and Koala. Each of them makes with variety material (such as bamboo, turf and hay), it also has the speaker to put on their sound too. it looks so real and cool. (4.3.7 transfer knowledge from one setting to another.)
Time for lunch, we all waves goodbye to the giant sculptors, we go wash our hand, wash the germs away and enjoy our yummy nacho. Some of the children are good at self-serve some are still learning. (3.2.9 show increasing independence and competence in personal hygiene, care and safety for themselves and others.)
We enjoyed our lunch and then settled down on the mat, quietly reading books, calm and relaxing to listening to the beautiful piano and nature sounds music that Miss An put on. Some friends rested rather than slept and everyone’s energy was nicely recharged for the afternoon when rest time was done. (1: 1) Those that didn’t sleep had their rest and then moved outside for quiet activities with Miss Nicole.
Thank you for a beautiful and fun day Pre-Kindy. Love from Miss An and Miss Nicole
