Jingeri Pre-Kindy children, Miss Alison, Miss Nicole and Miss An.
Children are curious about the worlds, things (living or non-living) around and surround them. This morning Henri and Mason B picking the tomato from the garden. Henri picked a red and ripe tomato and Mason picked the green one. Henri found there is a crack on his tomato and start to give it a squeeze and pop, can you hear the pre-kindy and senior kindy children scream and feeling amaze with the juice and the seed that oozing out. Dion, Poppy, Isla, Charlie, Quinn, Nicholas and Lincoln were shouted wanted more. Mason B try the green tomato but it a bit too hard to squeeze.( 4.1.2 are curious and enthusiastic participants in their learning.) follow by Ashton, Dion, Charlie and Emmi were discuss about why the tomato is green and when the green tomato turn red.
Holly, Harper, Olivia, Chloe and Mason L were enjoying their dance classes with Miss Jeni. (3.2.10 show enthusiasm for participating in physical play and negotiate play spaces to ensure the safety and wellbeing of themselves and others.) Of course we also enjoy swinging on the swing, running and chasing, pretending cooking and building on the sandpit, riding bikes around, climbing the red fire pole and many more.
To Transition the children into the classroom, we did line up nicely, counted how many of us in a line and give an elbow bump to Miss An as we walk in to the classroom when we walk in (1.1.2 use effective routines to help make predicted transitions smoothly.) We put our shoes on the shelf, hat on the hat on the hook and wash our hands and enjoy our morning tea. (A)
Pre-Kindy and Senior children were so enjoy to play together, so today we have a “play day”. Pre-Kindy and Senior kindy will be combine classroom together. We get to explore, socializing, bonding and playing together.
Before our friends coming in the classroom, we have a little group time. Miss An show us a little and short video about the Chinese New Years. This coming Friday is Chinese New Years, so to support, have better understanding and recognized different culture and cultural between the world we live in. The children were so enjoy the story and the video. Miss An also shared with the children couple of basic Chinese words such as “Ni hao (hello)”, Xie xie (thank you), Gong Xi (congratulation), Xin NIan Kuai Le (happy chinese new years) last and not least, counting from 1-10. (2.2.2 explore the diversity of culture, heritage, background and tradition and that diversity presents opportunities for choices and new understandings.)
After morning tea, the senior kindy children arrived. After run a couple of basic rules with all the children while waiting Miss Nicole, Miss Stacie, Miss Marca to set up the activities. Today we have inside and outside play. How lucky we are.
Inside, Pretending and role play are one of the children favourite play. At the Hair and Makesup saloon, Chloe, Poppy, Isla, Vera, Henri and Lena were enjoy making their own hair, putting brushes, combing hair and drying their hair. On the mat, we have Ashton, Holly, Harper, Charlie and George to build the pyramid tower. At the table, playdough we have lots and lots of the children enjoy the sensory play, such as Olivia, Emmi, Charles, Mya, Alex, Esther, Noah, Mason B, Mason L and Ziah were enjoy touching, making their beautiful and full of imagination creation. We also have Maddison enjoy herself at the last table with the magnetic shape blocks.
Outside at the veranda, we have Max, Jude, David, Henri and Lincoln using the animal shape boad and shoe lace (for threading used) as pretending fishing. How creative they can be. They throw the line out and pretending they catch a big fish or shark. Also we have Nicholas and Zachary were playing with he big animals like Lion, Polar bear, Dinosaurs and Elephant. Last and not least, we also have Lego Masters, Zac, Charles and Quinn they enjoy stacking, building and also making. (5.1.5 contribute their ideas and experiences in play, small and large group discussions.)

Right before the lunch time, we packing away our classroom. we making our own bed with a little helps of the educators. (A) Some of our friends had a sleep to re charge some had some quiet puzzle, book reading and colouring in.
